à à à à à Mrs. Turpin in Flannery Oââ¬â¢Connorââ¬â¢s short story Revelation, is a preference and critical lady who goes through a large portion of her time on earth prying in the lives of everybody around her. She takes a gander at individuals not for what their identity is, yet for their race or social standing. Actually, Mrs. Turpin is worried about race and status so much that it appears to assume control over her life. Despite the fact that she appears to oppose individuals of various race or social class, Mrs. Turpin is by all accounts content and thankful with her own life. It isn't until Mrs. Turpinââ¬â¢s Revelation that she finds that her lifestyles are no better then those she looks downward on and they won't guarantee her a spot in Heaven. à à à à à Mrs. Turpin shows preference in a few unique parts of her life. Her preference is first observed when she is in the doctorââ¬â¢s sitting area. The story expresses that ââ¬Å"her minimal bruised eyes took in all the patients as she evaluated the seating situation.â⬠(339) While in the lounge area, Mrs. Turpin is encircled by individuals of a wide range of social and social foundations. As she looks around the room Mrs. Turpin promptly starts placing the individuals into classifications. Some she called ââ¬Å"white trashâ⬠, others were affluent and lovely, and the rest of as Mary Grace, were revolting. The vast majority of Mrs. Turpinââ¬â¢s leisure time is likewise loaded up with preference considerations.
